As an organization whose fundamental purpose is to encourage ACHIEVEMENT in every field of human endeavor, the Lawrenceville-Duluth Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, has partnered with its Foundation to develop a scholarship that recognizes African American male students of Gwinnett County Public Schools who are leaving a living legacy at their respective high schools based on his academic excellence, leadership, and/or community service.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated continues its tradition of assisting and encouraging African American male students in education, community service, and leadership. The Fraternity through it's Foundation will award $25,000 in scholarships to eligible high school seniors in Gwinnett County Public Schools who are pursuing post-secondary education. To date, we have awarded more than $199,000 in scholarships to African American Male Students in the Gwinnett County Public School System.

Given the COVID-19 situation, the LDAC Scholarship Committee has decided to extend the application deadline to May 1, 2020 at 11:59 pm.You may access the application using the QR code on the flyer or visit the chapter website at We will award $25,000 in scholarships to African-American male GCPS students with a minimum of a 2.5 GPA and submit the necessary documentation. The scholarships will include one $10k scholarship (paid in four equal installments once college enrollment is confirmed and 2.5 GPA maintained), one $5k scholarship (paid in four equal installments once college enrollment is confirmed and 2.5 GPA maintained), and ten $1k scholarships (paid in one installment once college enrollment is confirmed).
